Prepare for professional nursing practice through rigorous classroom, laboratory and clinical learning. You’ll explore patient-centred care, clinical practice and health assessment through practical projects, teamwork and experiences that bring the profession to life. Your path to ECC may begin in different ways. The requirements below show the routes available for this programme, and our Admissions team can help you understand how your qualifications fit.
Four (4) CSEC subjects: English A/English Language, Mathematics, Biology or Human & Social Biology, and one other subject approved by the Nursing Council of Jamaica. No more than two Grade IIIs/Cs are accepted.
Applicants must be at least 17 years old and pass the pre-entrance test in English, reasoning, general knowledge and Mathematics.
An interview and medical certification—including physical, dental and ophthalmic reports—are required.
Programme structure
