Prepare to provide respectful, competent support to older adults across care settings. From the start, your learning stays close to the workplace as you practise elder care, health support and professional practice through hands-on activities and real-world challenges. You’ll leave ready to contribute with confidence, pursue opportunities such as geriatric care assistant or home-care aide, or turn your skills into an enterprise of your own.

Entry requirements
Your path to ECC may begin in different ways. The requirements below show the routes available for this programme, and our Admissions team can help you understand how your qualifications fit.
Applicants must meet at least one published route: NVQ-J or CVQ Level 2 certification, CCCJ academic entry requirements, Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition, or mature entry.
Mature applicants with relevant sector experience must pass college-readiness tests in English and Mathematics and submit a professional portfolio; bridging courses may be required.
Entry into Year 2 may be considered where the applicant demonstrates all required Year 1 or Occupational Diploma outcomes.
